Team Compositions

2x2x2 (2 Tank, 2 Support, 2 DPS)
Basically 2 Tanks, 2 supports, and 2 people that do damage. Simple yet effective.
3x3 (3 Def x 3 Off)
Essentially 3 heroes who work as a single unit to capture or push the objective. Usually composed of a tank, a healer, and a DPS. The 3 other heroes work a bit more independently. Their job is to flank the opponents and continue to fight from the sidelines.

Bastion

Rienhardt

Mercy

Summary:
Bastion is shielded by Reinhardt and his damage his boosted directly by Mercy.

Easy To Do Really strong vs teams that don't fight together	No Mobility Completely reliant on the Bastion's aim/skill

Recommended Counter:
D.VA is great at charging into the rienhardt since she can negate the nage going towards her and bop the rienardt from defending the bastion. Need her team to follow up with damage to overwhelm the bastion during the charge. Otherwise, attacked from multiple directions with snipers, genji, tracer, etc. can also be very effective.

Zenyatta

Torbjorn

Symmetra

Summary:
Zenyatta's debuff can increase the effectiveness of torbjorn and symmetra turrets. Both Symmetra and Torbjorn can help incease Zenyatta's health with armor and shield allowing zenyatta to be a larger DPS threat.

Good vs Squishy Flankers (Genji & Tracer) All have supportive elements to help rest of team	Discord dependent Must have good aim as Zenyatta to be a threat

Recommended Counter:
Overwhelming a section at a time is the best counter. choose whether you are going for symmetra or bastion or zenyatta. Don't split focus.

2-Hero Synergies

Mercy

Pharah

Summary:
Mercy and Pharah is a common duo team. Mercy and Pharah can both remain the air together. Mercy boosting pharah's damage while still being hard to hit in the sky makes this a very powerful pairing.

Hard to kill if you don't have great aim Pharah Rockets are good vs all heroes	Difficult vs opponents with great aim Need to have great aim as pharah to be effective.

Recommended Counter:
Zenyatta to debuff the mercy and pharah combined with a good McCree, Soldier, Ana, or Widowmaker tend to do quick work of characters out in the open.

Ana

Rienhardt

Summary:
Ana's ultimate charges quickly and it is really hard to deal with a buffed up Rienhardt. Genji is also commonly used in Rienhardt's place. Rienhardt is also helpful to protect Ana and allowing ana to fire from behind his shield.

Natural synergy between support and tank	Weak against multiple points of attack

Recommended Counter:
Kill Ana. Genji, tracer, winton, are all good vs her. She has no mobility, so once you jump on her there is little she can do. Reinhardt is slow to protect her from actual flankers.

Zarya

Hanzo

Summary:
Many hero ultimates pair well with Zayra. But the first synergy that became popular is with Hanzo's ultimate.

Goes through rienhardt & winston shield One of the highest DPS ults in the game	Predictable Zayra ult can take a long time to charge up.

Recommended Counter:
Zenyatta ult tends to be a good answer if you have a team that cant get away from Zarya ult. Otherwise having a repaer, tracer, etc, that can get away is very useful.
